1.  Fuji Apples.  Our apples are grown in Washington State, the largest
    producers of apples in the U.S.  Fuji apples are typically round and range
    from large to very large.  They have a dense flesh that is sweeter and crispier
    than many other apples, making them popular with consumers around the
    world.  Fuji apples have a very long shelf life compared to other apples,
    and with refrigeration can last as long as a year.

    Nutritional Information.  Apples have are known for having many
    phtyto-nutrients, and anti-oxidants such as flavonoids and polyphenolics.  
    Such nutrients and anti-oxidants are essential for growth, development, and
    overall wellness. Apples are low in calories, and they contain no saturated
    fats or cholesterol.  They are rich in dietary fiber, which helps prevent
    absorption of dietary-LDL or bad cholesterol. The fiber also saves colon
    mucous membrane from exposure to toxic substances by binding to cancer-
    causing chemicals inside the colon. 
    Apples also contain vitamin C and beta-carotene, and they are a good source
    of B-complex vitamins.  They also carry small amounts of minerals like
    potassium, phosphorous and calcium.
2.   Satsuma Oranges (Tangerines).  Satsumas are one of the sweetest,
    seedless citrus varieties.  They are easy to peel, juicy and have a delicate flesh. 

   Nutritional Information.  Satsumas are very low in calories, and they are a
   valuable source of flavonoid anti-oxidants such as naringenin, naringin,
   hesperetin, vitamin A, carotenes, xanthins and luteins.  They are a very rich
   source of vitamin C, one of the most powerful natural anti-oxidants. 
   Satsumas also contain natural soluble and insoluble fibers like hemi-cellulose
   and pectin, which prevent cholesterol absorption in the stomach.  Adequate
   fiber in the food aids in smooth bowel movements by acting as a laxative.
   They play a very important role in the reduction of risk for cancers, many
   chronic diseases like arthritis, and from obesity and coronary heart diseases.
3.   White Peaches White peaches are low in acid and very sweet and juicy.
   Their skin is fuzzy and creamy white.  When ripe, peaches emit a sweet aroma.
   Nutritional Information.  Peaches are high in vitamin C, dietary fiber,
   vitamin A, niacin and potassium.  They are low in calories and contain no
   saturated fats.  They are loaded with many health compounds, minerals, and
   vitamins, including vitamin A and beta-carotene.  Beta-carotene is a pro-vitamin,
   which converts into vitamin A inside the body. Vitamin A is essential for night
   vision. It is also essential for maintaining healthy mucus membranes and skin.
   Consumption of natural fruits rich in vitamin A may provide protection from
   lung and oral cavity cancers.  Peaches are also rich in many vital minerals such as
   potassium, fluoride and iron.  Iron is required for red blood cell formation.  
   Potassium is an important mineral that helps with regulating heart rate and blood
   pressure.  Peaches also contain flavonoid poly phenolic antioxidants such as
   lutein, zea-xanthin and beta-cryptoxanthin. 
   These compounds help act as protective agents against oxygen-derived free radicals
   and reactive oxygen species that play a role in aging and various disease processes.
4.   Persimmons.  Our persimmons are the Fuyu variety, a non-astringent
   persimmon that looks like a rounded tomato with a pumpkin color inside and
   out.  Fuyu’s may be consumed when still firm, and remain edible when very
   soft and their taste is reminiscent of pear, dates and brown sugar with a cooling
   finish.  They are crisp and succulent when young and ripe to more tender as

   Nutritional Information Fuyu’s are very low in fats, and its flesh is a very
   good source of dietary fiber.  Persimmons contain health benefiting flavonoid
   poly-phenolic anti-oxidants such as catechins and gallocatechins in addition
   to having an important anti-tumor compound, betulinic acid.  Catechins are
   Cknown to have anti-infective, anti-inflammatory and anti-hemorrhagic
   properties.  Persimmons are also a very good source of vitamin-C and contain
   many valuable B-complex vitamins such as folic acid, pyridoxine (vitamin B-6)
   and thiamin.  Fresh persimmons also contain healthy amounts of minerals like
   potassium, manganese (15% of DRI), copper (12% of DRI), and phosphorus.

5.   Navel Oranges.  Navel oranges are sweet and very juicy.  They are and
  contain an impressive list of essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals.

6.   Oriental Yams(Oriental Sweet Potatoes)  Our oriental yams(oriental
   sweet potatoes) are reddish brown in color with white flesh.  They are very sweet
   and tasty, and are a great substitute for potatoes in any dish.

   Nutritional Information Oriental yams(oriental sweet potatoes) are low in sodium,
   are very low in saturated fat and cholesterol. They are also a good source of dietary
   fiber and vitamins A, B6 and C.  Vitamin A has many functions like maintaining
   healthy mucus membranes and skin, night vision, growth and protection
   from lung and oral cavity cancers.  They are also a good source of minerals
   such as manganese, potassium, copper and magnesium. 
   Manganese is a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase
   Potassium helps control heart rate and blood pressure by offsetting the hypertensive
   effects of sodium.  Copper is needed in the production of red blood cells.
  7.   Strawberries.  Locally gown, our strawberries are sweet and large.  They are
in shells for easier transport and better protection. 

     Nutritional Information. Strawberries are rich in anthocyanins and ellagic acid.
     Consumption of 
strawberries may have potential health benefits against cancer,
     aging, inflammation and 
neurological diseases.  They are also rich in vitamin
     B-6, niacin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid and 
folic acid. These vitamins help
     the body metabolize carbohydrate, proteins and fats. 
  8.   Jujubes (Chinese Dates)The fruit is round to elongated and resembles
     crab apples.  It has a thin, edible skin and sweet, whitish flesh. The immature
     fruit is green, but as it ripens it turns yellow-green and then develops mahogany-
     colored spots as the fruit ripens.The fully mature fruit is entirely red and it
     becomes soft and wrinkled.  It is very high in vitamin C. The fruit is also used
     medicinally as a treatment for insomnia and anxiety. One of its most popular
     uses is as a tea for sore throat.
